You know you are playing--in a relationship that you know you shouldn't be in. You know you are entertaining a lifestyle that does not foster to your holiness. Girl stop playing!

Deep in the quiet, God was asking me: “What is it that you're looking for? You know he doesnt love Jesus. You know you don’t have peace. Why are you playing with fire?”

Jesus always use the analogy of His followers to be like sheep. The thing about sheep is that they have very bad eye sight yet they listen to the voice of the shepherd to guide them along. His voice can lead us to our destiny. His voice can lead to our protection. If I were honest, from the beginning, I knew this is not the one. I had let the door 'almost closed but open enough to peak in a little  hole'.

To stop being a Lukewarm was the call: "It has been 2 years of disobedience ,Tam. And who has been hurting? I told you My will because I love you. Aren't you tired of following your own desires and will-- wasting time and energy trying to sustain it on your own?"

I had been lukewarm and Jesus was rebuking me that:

I cant be preaching the Word but still going out to bars drinking at night.
I cant be light in the workplace but entertaining an unequally yoked relationship.
I cant be sharing God's mercy to the poor but skipping out on Church and her community.

The Enemy wants us to be double-minded. It is not possible to follow Jesus fully when our feets are in two different grounds. Immediate obedience would save us from unnecessary detours in our life. Jesus spit out the lukewarm, so 'GIRL STOP PLAYING'

Do not be like the Old Testament kings who disobeyed God by not burning all the idol-worship statues and temple treasures after winning a war. God wanted a clean house. Smash of all the idols; because you can't give your whole selves to God when you cling to other saviors.

God has removed you from a table where you used to sit in order to save you a host who was serving you poison.

God would often use what feels like rejection, abandonment, and hard things to take you out from something that can rob you from your destiny. It may hurt now if you end this relationship. Or uncomfortable now to lose those group of friends. But they are not meant to be in your future. And rather it hurts now, than it would later on in the future.

He wants to consecrate you.

I went to seek His will for me and The Lord spoke to me to 'live consecrated life" To be kept holy and use this time to focus on Himself---my first love. To know what love is from Him first. I speak that to a friend who encouraged me to not see it as a punishment, rather His grace so I can be front centered in what God wants me to do.

"Don't waste your oil!"

You know the story in the Bible where there is the 10 virgins whose lamp stand ran out of oil. And the 10 virgins whose oil was there and they were there when the Master came because they were prepared? How much better it is to be on guard for the Master to come or lead us, to the coming 'Promised Land' he has for us.

You are to be kept for the person whom God has for you. To the equal who will treat you like a partner--to see you as his bone of his bones. To care for your feelings when you are hurting that he would hurt.

Guys in the past I was seeing, both I didn't have peace since the beginning. Yet I kept playing where the Lord had a red light on. The next time around, I want to be sure to be prayerful to listen to Him.

What would it look like to be praying first, waiting on God. For it is God who brought Eve to Adam. How many heartbreaks would it save you.

So Girl. Stop playing with what God never wanted in your life and start praying for your future relationship. For the Lord honors those who honor Him. All through Scripture, you can be sure of that.

PS. If you felt like you’ve wasted your oil, the Lord is saying, “I will refill your oil, my child.”

X,

T.W.
