If only our eyes sees heart and souls instead of shapes and sizes, how different would our idea of beauty be?
I get to be a part of this wonderful project my friend Shelby created, aiming to shed light that how others perceive us often times are not how we perceive ourselves. It is sad that many are in the same struggle of self-hate. Even sadder, is how self-hate takes our eyes of others--stifling us from our ability to live out compassion and care.
I too am learning the freedom of self forgetfulness. To fully embrace what my Maker says about me. To not judge myself according to my own standard or others' standard, but to rest in the fact that the holiest of holy God who has the most reason to reject me, welcome and accept me fully and unconditionally.
I asked some of my friends to be apart of a project. They each had to share one thing they hated about themselves, and one thing they loved about the other girls in the room. Here are the results!
Sisters, can we rise up to be a generation who challenges the notion of beauty, valuing substance over looks?

Knowing the magnitude of the vision I bore, I feared.
